Hot Cross Bun Old Fashioned
- 60ml bourbon
- 15ml simple syrup
- 2 dashes of Angostura bitters
- 1 hot cross bun
- Cinnamon stick, for garnish
- Small hot cross bun, for garnish
Directions:
- In a mixing glass, muddle the hot cross bun with the simple syrup and bitters until well combined.
- Add the bourbon and fill the glass with ice.
- Stir well for 20-30 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a small hot cross bun.
- Serve and enjoy!
If you don’t have a hot cross bun on hand, you can use a regular bun or cinnamon roll and add a pinch of nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon to the mix. You can also substitute the bourbon with rye whiskey or brandy for a different flavor profile. Enjoy!
